Ashwagandha - Withania somnifera

This solanum species is utilized for its roots traditionally in Ayurvedic medicine. Grows about 4-5ft tall, best grown in raised beds or containers in Florida due to its long harvest period (2nd year plants roots are generally considered to be better to use) and being prone to root knot nematode damage.
