Cold hardy tropical "cherry" tree!
Cherry of the Rio Grande is a small, highly ornamental slow growing tree maxing out over 20 foot tall but quite slow growing.
Cold hardy to the low 20s, zone 8b and above, can grow from North Florida all the way to the Keys, this is an excellent fruit to grow in regions too hot to grow true cherries. Tastes much like a tangy bing cherry. Fruits over a period from April to May and occasional fruits in the summer. Full sun to part shade.
Seedlings for sale is 6-12 inches tall.
