Jewel of Opar / Fame Flower - Talinum paniculatum

A ready self seeder, with tiny pink flowers and delicate, mild flavored succulent leaves that can be eaten raw or cooked, this perennial green with light green oval leaves is one of the most "spinachlike" perennial greens we sell and is an excellent front yard ornamental food forest plant. 

Low growing to under a foot tall with thin, wiry panicles of pink flowers reaching over a foot tall, this species has ornamental uses as well as edible uses- a good plant to edge a food forest area with. Perfectly happy in full so to some shade.
