Josh Jamison of Cody Cove Farm shared this awesome perennial allium with us a while back and it's rapidly grown into one of our favorites!

A compact growing and rapidly multiplying fully perennial source of leaves that ride the line between a more typical green onion and the flat bladed chives like garlic and hookerii, this is a great source of pungent green onion type vegetable/potherb that unlike other multiplier onions does not go dormant in the summer! We were given a single bulb and within a year or so were able to make many divisions and planted out a full 6x3 raised bed for a constant source of cut and come again green onions and plants to offer. We noticed and Josh also did that the bulbs of this variety are not great culinarily so we suggest cutting greens like chives as the best was to utilize them.

The namesake and original source of this variety was met though the organization Cultivate Abundance which offers food resources to the migrant farmworker community in Immokalee and southwest Florida and we encourage you to support them if possible at cultivateabundance.org

Plants for sale are a rooted out clump of bulbs in a 3.5 inch pot. Further propagation can be done by dividing clumps or planting individual bulbs in other locations.
