It's that time of year! Time to start thinking about planting strawberries in our winter gardens. Below is the description of the variety we are offering this year, each order contains 25 bare roots. 

'Brilliance' - University of Florida developed variety, well adapted to FL soil conditions as well as resistance to diseases that can plague older cultivars. Firm fruit holds up well post harvest (no squishy berries in the fridge after a few days) and is lower acid than other new UF varieties lending to a sweeter tasting fruit, this variety is also less demanding when it comes to soil nitrogen needs as other new types but performs best with consistently moist but not overly wet soil with constant balanced fertilizer. Tends to send less runners out so good for container and tower garden culture. 

Preorders will generally ship middle of October.
